Every four years, the UTUIA holds its Grand Convention. The Grand Convention consists of the duly elected officers of the UTUIA, elected members of the Board of Directors of the UTUIA, and the elected delegates from each district. This is the supreme legislative body that has responsibility for governing the organization.

This year, the Grand Convention will be held on Aug. 13, 2011, in Hollywood, Fla. It will be held at the Westin Diplomat Resort and will follow the United Transportation Union Convention at the same location, which will be held during the week of Aug. 8-12, 2011.
